Range Road Rehabilitation Works

Work is scheduled to commence in the week ending 6th November, 2009 with Council staff re-constructing the road pavement in Range Road (Between Nannas Lane and George Emery Lane), Mittagong, The work should be completed in four weeks time (weather permitting).

The Work involves:

  • Initial pruning of vegetation and clearing of table drains
  • Excavation and widening of the existing road
  • Placement of gravel overlay
  • Bitumen sealing

Changed Traffic Conditions:

Traffic will be controlled by traffic controllers. Only a lane of the road will be available during the construction time. Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, to exercise care when traveling through the work zone and to be aware of heavy machinery and trucks on site. The work zone will be speed restricted to 40kph (24 hours) during construction period.

Council requests that the public exercise patience during this time. Council will make every effort to minimize disruptions. It is inevitable, however, that some delays or inconvenience may occur.
