Changed Traffic Conditions: The drainage system is to be constructed in the middle of the road at the intersection of these two roads. To allow the works to proceed safely and with minimum of disruption, sections of Ascot Road and Loseby Street at the intersection of these roads will be closed to through traffic for the duration of the work. Consequently road users are advised to avoid the intersection of these roads. Through traffic will be detoured via Park Road, Sheffield Road, Gordon Road and Mona Road. Appropriate signage will be placed at critical locations. A major part of the work will involve excavation of trenches on the road to lay drainage pipes and culverts. Short sections of road and kerb and gutter will be replaced as part of the work. Water filled barriers will be in place as a safety measure to protect work zone Council requests that the public exercises patience during this construction period and it will make every efforts to minimize disruptions. It is inevitable, however, that some minor delays or inconvenience may occur during the course of work.
